"Where heaven meets earth"
Lanikūhonua’s lush and natural beauty is the perfect backdrop for a stylish and elegant wedding day. If you've decided on a Lanikuhonua wedding, you can declare your love at a private, barefoot ceremony on the beach framed by a breathtaking sunset with unobstructed ocean views. Afterwards, celebrate with friends and family on the expansive and well-manicured grass lawn surrounded by palm trees and gardens.
This is also a famous Hawaiian historical sight so you can get married at a stunning venue and a place with cultural significance.
An intimate or grand Lanikuhonua wedding, you choose
Technically, Lanikuhonua has three wedding sites, perfect for your individual needs. I personally prefer small, intimate gatherings...but this Ko'olina wedding venue has it all! It can accommodate up to 1000 people!
Each wedding package includes a number of necessary pieces such as an arch, chairs, and linens. Catering and other add-ons are also available from the hotel.
Satomi + Stefan's Lanikuhonua Wedding
Satomi and Stefan began planning their Lanikuhonua wedding back in 2018...for a 2020 ceremony. I don't think I need to tell you how that went. To put it mildly, they hit a few speed bumps.
After 3 rescheduled events, they were finally good to go in 2021. But then more restrictions were imposed in Hawaii and their 100+ person guest list, shrank to a max of 25 guests.
While this wasn't what Satomi + Stefan had originally planned, they made it work. The wedding was gorgeous and intimate! The staff at Lanikuhonua were beyond accommodating and handled every request with ease.
We were greeted with a gorgeous sunset that day. The sunset bridal photos at this Lanikuhonua wedding were to exquisite.
Because of the new Covid restrictions, Satomi + Stefan had to have dinner twice, to accommodate all their guests in groups of 10. No one was complaining, however, because the food was divine!
The couple mingled, ate, and drank to their heart's content (no dancing at this wedding unfortunately), and had an amazing experience. They kept mentioning how impressed they were with the level of service provided at the Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute.
I personally can't wait to shoot another wedding here!
